August Favourites
1. Key Pouch
Very handy. My bag remains scratch free and I can stow some
cash and my travel card in. Did an unforgivable mistake. I usually take my keys
with me, and the one time I did not take the keys along is the time where Chong
Wei also left his keys in the room. That’s the time where we locked ourselves
out.
2. Hoop Earrings
I cave in ok. When I spotted these earrings in the store, I
was determine to buy them.
3. Wet Travel Brush
I have adopted the habit to always wanting to brush my hair out. Whenever
I want to brush my hair when I’m out, is the time when I realise I do not have
a hairbrush. I hunted down the hairbrush every single store I went in,
(approximately 5 stores) because I’ve set myself I will not go home until I get
my hairbrush. When I finally do I forgot which store I went because I went to
too many stores already. Ok, I lied, I rummaged through my trash can and I found
the receipt. It was in Ngee Ann City.

Remember that I mentioned I've hunted down approximately 5 stores? That is a lot of walking. Well yup, in these mules. So comfortable!! I’ve walked
more than 20k steps in these!

Ok, you know when you go through
the checkout counter, they placed some knick-knacks in hope you will grab some?
Well, you guessed it, I fell for it. I purchased this umbrella for the sole
reason of the size. As much as I love my auto umbrella, it is heavy. I’ve been
caught in the rain a handful of times because I did not carry my umbrella. So,
with this light and small umbrella, I hope I never get caught in the rain,
ever.

Today's post will be about new makeup purchases I've made for the past few months.
I can't wait to dive in and share my recent purchases! I'm guilty as charged as I've spent way more on makeup lately. But whatever, Chinese New Year is coming soon, so all these purchases are justified.
Lets start with face.
Face
Wet n’ Wild Photofocus Foundation
This foundation gives a light to medium coverage. It claims not to give you flashback when you take a selfie with flash. It doesn't oxidise and it does creases like other foundations. But it's not end of the world, you can always apply powder to avoid any creasing. It stays long, and foundation on the area around the nose doesn't just vanished into thin air, even if you have a pretty greasy face. It's a matte finish, and I'm not sure how it works on über dry skin.

Surprisingly the pink concealer does salvage my dark purple under eyes. I don't feel like I was a zombie without any makeup when i solely use this. I was afraid the 'nude' concealer maybe too dark for me, but it does help covering up my stubborn hormonal breakouts. I find that the highlight shade is perfect for the brow bone.

NARS Blush in Orgasm
I can say this is a bit of a Marmite product. Even if NARS claimed it to be one of it's best selling blush. It's bold, and highly pigmented. As I've previously mentioned, I love to go ham on my blush even if it looks like a baboon's bottom. I love the colour, it has a gold glitters in them, and when the light catches at a certain angle, it really does give you a glowy look.

Sweater Weather
These past months have been so cold and I LOVE it. The torrential rain we've been having, was so merciless and I got so much joy out of the resultant cold breeze and weather. Although I've been loving the cold weather, I was so thankful that it did not rain on my graduation day, or at least during the ceremony and on my birthday. So I got to enjoy being outside. I know, shocker.
It is almost never this cold because we live near the equator. Bummer. So, to be thankful, I've written a blogpost about the weather. Honestly, I am so happy that I can finally wear my Adidas sweater with my leggings. So warm and cozy, I love it.
Truthfully, I've been wearing this sweater non stop for 2 weeks straight. I repeat my outfits and I seriously don't think it's a crime to do so.
It's like finally I'm able to wear clothes and I won't sweat in them, not to mention a sweater!
I hope anyone who's reading is enjoying the weather as much as I do.

It’s 2018. WHERE HAS THE TIME GONE? Lolz. If you’re reading
this, I hope you’ve accomplished what you wanted in 2017, if you didn’t-- make
2018 your year.

I would like to share to you my best moments in 2017 that I want
to cherish forever.
1.
Obviously, I graduated!
It was really, really hot that day,
despite the torrential rain we had for months. I was praying that it won’t rain
on the day I graduated, and lucky enough, it didn’t rain! Ok, it did rain, but
it was after the ceremony and we were driving out of Uni, and then it poured
hard. I was having a lot of fun, despite being extremely thirsty. I was also
soaking wet with my sweat! Every single part of my body is sweating, even the
back of my knees. Eww. But-- at the
end of the day, my makeup is still on, even it may not be as good as earlier,
but still.
2.
I went to Korea!
I love Korea. I love the culture, I
love the fried chicken, I love the park, I love everything. The most ouch thing
is knowing that how small our money is. I spent more than RM1k just on public
transport alone for the span of only 10days. Bummer.
3.
I moved to Singapore!
Moving to Singapore helped me to live more of a minimalist lifestyle. Not to say that I’m a true minimalist, but I’ve cut down
a whole lot. As you all know, I love makeup, shoes and clothes, but it amazes
me how much I’ve cut down. For example, shoes. I’ve 6 shoes here in Singapore,
sounds a lot, but really its not. I have a work shoes, my Nike running shoes, my
favourite Mango loafers, pointed flats, Birkenstocks and flip-flops which is
perfect for rainy days.
4.
My Skincare
I’m more into skincare this year.
More accurately for the past 6 months. I love sheet masks, my Clarisonic,
toner, moisturizer and most importantly my SPF! Skincare is important, I love
the glow that it gives me. Every morning, the only thing that excites me is my
morning skincare routine. I always look forward to applying skincare. If you
want to know more, I did a blogpost on all the skincare I use and loving.
5.
Discovering Makeup
Isn’t it obvious enough? I love
glitters, shimmers, colours. I don’t care if my cheeks look like a baboon’s
bottoms. I love them. I love to go ham on blushes. I love how perfect the
Duchess of Cambridge’s blushes. I’ve always love makeup. I love lipsticks. I
love how my makeup resonates with my mood, my character, my actual self. I portray
myself through makeup. Yes, I also love my no makeup days. Who doesn’t?
6.
Improving, growing and discovering.
I’m a better me than I was at the
beginning of 2017. Better as in learning more skills, loving myself more,
although that’s a whole different topic we should get into next. I cannot
stress enough on the importance of loving yourself. Me, myself is also in the
learning progress of loving me. I do have days or even weeks on loathing
myself, although sometimes I blame it on hormones. But, it is also not right to
put so much stress on yourself in order to be more perfect. You got to cut some
slacks, too. You know? I’m human. I make mistakes. It’s not literally means
that I don’t make more mistakes like I do in the beginning of 2017, I make
stupid mistakes in fact. But I learn from it, I try not to repeat the same
mistakes. There is so much more room for improvement.
7.
A job
I got my first job this year. I don’t
want to bore you with details about it, but yeah. A memorable moment indeed.
Oh, also, I have a name-card. Ooh… fancy.
So, if you run into me, I will sure hand you my name-card. *can you tell it is
also my first time to have a name-card?*
I think that’s about it! Of course
there are many other moments that are highlights of 2017, again, I don’t want
to bore you with much details on it. So, this is it I guess. My 2017. I love
it.
